Real Madrid secure Robinho to 5-year deal

Real Madrid are set to announce the signing of Santos winger Robinho next week.

Sources close to the negotiations have told AS that a deal has been agreed which will see Robinho ink a five-year contract with Real worth £1.4 million-a-season.

The transfer won't be announced officially until the end of next week due to Robinho's agent, Juan Figger, having to leave Spain this week on business.

Real will pay Santos £12 million for the Brazil international, who snubbed rival offers from Benfica, PSV Eindhoven, Corinthians and Chelsea to sign with the Madrid giants.
