Real Madrid secure Mejia to new contract

Real Madrid have secured young centre-half Alvaro Mejia to a new contract.

The 21 year-old signed terms yesterday on a five-year deal after making his senior breakthrough this season.

Mejia, the captain of Real Madrid 'B', is one of the few success stories for the club this term and is expected to play a bigger first team role next season.
