Real Madrid scout bowled over by Gago

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello had one of his coaching staff scout Fernando Gago in action on Sunday for Boca Juniors against Rosario Central.

The Real representative saw Gago turn in a five-star performance and impressed the scout with the way he handled several brutal challenges. Real directors are now ready to bring forward plans to sign Gago and DiarioSport says an offer could be tabled as early as next week.

For Gago's part, he wouldn't blink if given the chance to sign for Real, which are counting on their good relationship with Boca to talk down their £8 million asking price.
