Real Madrid's Zinedine Zidane: I Would Like Manuel Pellegrini To Stay

Real Madrid legend and current advisor Zinedine Zidane has spoken to Spanish sports daily AS about the current coaching saga that has seen the media tie the Blancos club to Inter coach Jose Mourinho. Zidane declared that he would prefer Manuel Pellegrini to stay at the club for another season.

"I have already told the president what I think of the coaching situation some time ago. I would like him [Pellegrini] to stay, but I am here to learn. The president gives the orders and he decides. We will see what decision he makes."

Zidane also spoke of Madrid's chances of winning the Liga title, but did not feel all too optimistic. "It is very unlikely that Barca will fail, although I hope they do," said the former Madrid No. 5. "Both teams have had a great season and we are almost going to arrive at 100 points. Madrid cannot be expected to do more than they have. It is a shame that we may not win La Liga, but against ahead of us is a great team in Barca."

"There is one match left and anything can happen. It would make me very happy if it were to happen."
