Real Madrid's Woodgate out for another month

A spokesman for Real Madrid's medical staff says Jonathan Woodgate will be available for selection within three weeks.

The England defender aggravated a thigh injury in training on Wednesday, though after scans yesterday it emerged no serious damage had been suffered.

"The wound can heal in three weeks, but for the return it is necessary to think about a month," said the Real spokesman.

"Woodgate came here injured, but we were confident he will recover - and we still are. He will return to play at the highest level. Sometimes in medicine two and two does not equal four. There are some conditions that medicine cannot predict or control."
