Real Madrid's Valdano: Figo is back to his best

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano believes Luis Figo is back to his best after his team's 4-1 thumping of Osasuna last night.

A double from Ivan Helguera, plus strikes from Raul and Jose Marie Guti secured Real a comfortable result.

Valdano said, "It wasn't so easy. Our opponents were well organised and put us under a lot of pressure."

"It happened the same way against Roma, early pressure before we were able to control the game by scoring."

"It's important to recognise the goal scorers - and also Luis Figo."

"Figo was involved in all four goals and though he didn't score, was crucial to our victory. He's now approaching the form he was in two years ago and that's great for the team and Real Madrid."
