Real Madrid's Ronaldo ready to return to Champions League showcase

Real Madrid ace Ronaldo hopes to win over fans with a big performance against Arsenal this week.
 
Ronaldo is still being booed by a section of the Santiago Bernabeu crowd, but hopes to turn things around by firing Real to victory against Arsenal.

"I want to win the European Cup with Madrid," Ronaldo told friends yesterday as he prepared for training.

The Brazilian knows he may never fully connect with a small section of the Real home support, but hopes European glory will go some way to banishing the doubters.

Tomorrow night will be Ronaldo's first appearance in the Champions League since March last year.
