Real Madrid's Robinho wants ref protection

Real Madrid winger Robinho has called on refs to give him more protection during games.
 
"Yes, I think the referees allow the opposition to get away with more than they should," said the Brazilian, who scored in Saturday's win at Athletic Bilbao.

"Athletic, for example, hit me hard, but I don't believe they were punished by the referee sufficiently."

"Sometimes it happens that I try to do many individual plays, but I am going to continue playing this way because I do not know how to play any other way."

"I always respect my opponent. Often they try to intimidate me, but that is not going to see me take a step back."
