Real Madrid's Roberto Carlos: I wish Beckham was Brazilian!

Roberto Carlos has hailed Real Madrid teammate David Beckham as one of the world's greats.
 
He said: "I think David Beckham is still one of the best players in the world. He's the best passer in the world and also one of the greatest players in his position on the pitch."

"I would love him to be Brazilian so he could play for Brazil!"

Roberto Carlos also backed Jonathan Woodgate to win back his England place - despite his nightmare start for Real.

He said: "Jonathan will recover easily because he's such a strong player. He will definitely be a success with Real Madrid, but I also hope he can regain his place in the England side too."
