Real Madrid's Roberto Carlos blasts Chelsea rumours

Roberto Carlos insists he is confident he will be with Real Madrid next season.

The Brazilian wing-back was photographed meeting with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger yesterday in Paris and has also emerged as a top target for Chelsea.

On Chelsea's interest, Roberto Carlos was defiant: "Every day they speak about me and Chelsea, of Abramovich and of the money he has already given me."

"People cannot talk about things in my life without knowing what is happening."

"They say I have spoken with (Real director Jorge) Valdano and he has shown me what the club is prepared to offer me and I have told him that I do not want it. Its wrong, nothing like this has happened."

"I am calm. There is still time to sign a new contract."
