Real Madrid's Raul happy with knee rehab

Raul says he is "optimistic" about a full recovery from his knee injury suffered two weeks ago.
 
The Real Madrid captain has so far managed to avoid the operating room and is quietly confident he won't have to go under the knife to fix the injury.

"I am very happy. I'm making good progress. Now it is most important to see what will happen in the next three weeks, to see if the knee holds with the work I'm doing," said Raul.

"I am with hope and great optimism. There have been no steps back."

At the turn of the year, the doctors and the player will decide if he must undergo an operation or maintain the rehabilitation.
