Real Madrid's Raul: Chelsea cash can't tempt me

Real Madrid galatico Raul says there is no amount of money Roman Abramovich can offer to tempt him in joining Chelsea.

Chelsea attempted to sign Raul over the summer in a £72 million deal. Abramovich was also prepared to offer a staggering £8.6 million-a-season to the Spanish ace.

Raul said: "I am never going to leave Real Madrid because of money. I am in the team and enjoying myself."

"I would only look for another solution if I wasn't playing - that has happened to other team-mates."

"But I have such a strong feeling to continue giving everything for this club."

He added: "I want to retire a Real Madrid player. I hope everything is solved as quickly as possible and that the subject is finished."

"The club already know my intentions - it is going to be a question of time. And when we speak about it everything that needs to be said will be said."

"I am not going to demand or request anything."
