Real Madrid's Ramos welcomes Man Utd interest

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has welcomed interest from Manchester United.

"It's a good sign that such a great team is interested in me, but for now I am not asking anything," said the Spain international. "I have a good contract with Real Madrid and I'm focused on the national team."

Ramos is regarded as one of Europe's brightest young defenders and rowed with Real management towards the end of last season over his poor on-field discipline record."

Ramos' agent, Pedro Bravo, said: "It's true I was in England on Monday. They (the Spanish media) know I have a good relationship with Manchester United."

He also remarked: "Which club wouldn't be attracted to a player like Sergio Ramos?"
