Real Madrid's Ramos: We've been told more signings on way

Sergio Ramos has revealed Real Madrid management have told the players that more signings are on the way.

Ramos has seen Pepe and Christophe Metzelder arrive to challenge him for a defensive position in coach Bernd Schuster's plans and declared: "So far two good reinforcements for my position have arrived.

"We are happy with all the new signings that we have made and they have told us that more are set to arrive."

On Barcelona's big-name captures, Ramos insisted: "Each team is in charge to reinforce itself as best it can. Other teams are buying well and with players, perhaps, with a little more profile. But we are the champions and when the Liga begins we all begin from zero."
