Real Madrid's Queiroz: Only 50-50 Vieira stays at Arsenal

Real Madrid trainer Carlos Queiroz says there is only a "50-50" chance that Patrick Vieira will start the season with Arsenal.

Real, along with Manchester United and Chelsea, are chasing the French international, who has only a year left on his current contract.

Queiroz told Marca, "He is a very good player, excellent. If Vieira leaves Arsenal, Real Madrid will not be the only team that wants him."

"There will be Manchester and Liverpool. Do I think he's going to leave? It's 50-50. It is something that at this moment in time, is in the fridge."

"Makelele and Vieira already play together in the French national team. They are compatible."
