Real Madrid's Queiroz: Beckham arrival is not end for Guti

New Real Madrid trainer Carlos Queiroz says he hasn't decided where he intends to play 'crack' signing David Beckham.

Queiroz also insisted that Beckham's arrival from Manchester United did not mean the end of Jose Guti's career with Real.

The Portuguese coach told Marca, "I have worked with Beckham at Manchester United and have seen him with England. As with all great players, he can play in any position."

"I know he has the talent to play in the middle, but it will depend on our opponents and also our own squad."

He added, "I need Guti. He is a great player who can solve many problems. He has great ability and personality and someone I rate highly."

Asked if he will be recommending players to the Real board to sign, Queiroz said, "All clubs would love to have the players Real Madrid have. Now is the moment for working, for thinking, for analyzing and for making certain decisions. It is necessary to go little by little."
