Real Madrid's Pepe's Injury Feared To Be Serious

Real Madrid claimed an important win against the Valencia, but there could be bad news in the form of a serious injury to Pepe.

The Merengues defender twisted his knee when falling awkwardly, and had to be stretchered off immediately. The initial diagnosis suggests ligament damage, which would rule him out for about three months.

However, if his meniscus is damaged, it is likely to end his season, as well as putting his chances of participating in the World Cup in doubt. However, no official statement will be made until further tests are carried out on Sunday.
