Real Madrid's Owen has no Liverpool regrets

Real Madrid striker Michael Owen insists he has no regrets over his move from Liverpool - despite his former club's success in the Champions League this season.

He said: "I think Benitez showed at Valencia he is a good boss and capable of winning trophies."

The England star is bracing himself for a barrage of criticism if Liverpool lift the European Cup.

But he added: "After Liverpool lose people say to me 'They're missing you' and then they beat someone and I'm asked 'Do you wish you were still there?'. Those comments are inevitable whatever happens."
