The Spanish international is a confirmed target for Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, but he told L'Equipe: "Everybody knows that I want to stay at Real Madrid and play there."
"But if I am forced to move away, my first option would be Monaco."
"I felt working with Didier Deschamps I could do anything. We made magic. I know that Monaco have left the door open to me. One day I hope to cross it."
