Real Madrid's Mijatovic confident of Van Nistelrooy deal after new talks

Real Madrid sports chief Predrag Mijatovic was locked in talks with Manchester United yesterday over striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
 
Negotiations between Mijatovic and United chief executive David Gill finished positively and Real are confident an agreement could be struck today.

Mijatovic is now prepared to up their original £8 million offer to £10 million, though United are seeking closer to £15 million.

Bayern Munich, meanwhile, have reportedly offered £14.5 million for the Dutchman, whose agent admits the German club are "an option".
