Real Madrid's McManaman looking for long-term Everton deal

Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman is open to a move to Everton.

BBC Sport Online says the England international is ready to join Everton, but only if they can put a long-term deal on the table.

McManaman is also looking for a lot more than the wage ceiling of £20,000-a-week that currently exists at Goodison Park.

Manchester City are also chasing the Real midfielder and will match Everton's offer when the 31 year-old becomes available.
