Real Madrid's Marcelo: I Will Stop Sevilla Star Jesus Navas

Real Madrid face Sevilla in a mouthwatering clash at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night, and Marcelo will certainly be looking to improve on his performance from the last time the sides met back in October.

The Brazilian left-back was given a torrid time by Jesus Navas as Los Nervionenses started the season in sparkling form, and he insists that the schooling will not be repeated.

"When we lose, journalists point the finger at me," Marcelo told AS.

"They don't see the training sessions, only the matches and they look for someone to criticise. It's normal for me. One day they criticise you and others they flatter you."

"That day [the first game against Sevilla], although I was physically and mentally strong, I was swept away. I don't know what happened. I struggled with everything."

Tonight, however, Marcelo says that things will be different as he is enjoying his "best form of the season" and that he will do his best to stop the Spanish international.

"I intend to do everything I can to stop him. He's very quick and can escape you," he mused.
