Real Madrid’s latest offer to Kylian Mbappe will have lower salary and signing bonus than 2022 proposal

Real Madrid’s plan to sign Kylian Mbappe does not have long to come to fruition.

Los Blancos are vexed after the youngster’s repeated rejection and now see this month as his final chance to sign for the club.

Florentino Perez & co. have thus given Mbappe and his entourage a deadline of mid-January to revert to the club with a final decision and sign a pre-agreement if the answer is yes. However, the dream scenario appears far from happening.

According to reports from Josep Pedrerol of El Chiringuito TV, Real Madrid’s astronomical offer for Mbappe expired two years ago. The terms of the initial proposal would see him become the highest-paid member of the squad amidst several other perks.

Their latest offer, however, is not as lucrative. If he signs this year, the figures will be different and he will no longer be the player who earns the most in the squad.

Further, he will no longer receive a bonus of €100 to €150 million as was initially offered. Needless to say, this becomes a crucial factor that could influence the decision of a player who is offered all the riches in the world in Paris.

The PSG sensation spoke to the media after his team’s clash against Toulouse earlier this week and admitted that his future was uncertain. Moreover, he openly declared that he had not yet made a decision, almost confirming that he would not meet Real Madrid’s deadline.

"I have not made a decision yet. But we have an agreement with the president that means that all parties are protected."

"In 2022, I didn’t know my decision until May. If I know what I want to do, I shouldn’t let the decision drag on. It wouldn’t make any sense," he added.

With talks with PSG over a renewal running concurrently, there is no clarity over the player’s next step. Word has it that he wishes to settle his future before the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
