Real Madrid's interest in Sevilla chief Monchi sparks agent frenzy

Real Madrid's interest in Sevilla sports director Monchi has caught the imagination of agents.

Monchi received several phone calls yesterday from agents willing to represent him in any talks with Real Madrid. The sports chief politely declined.

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido, meanwhile, said: "It is very strange to me. In addition, if Florentino Perez wanted to have him, surely then first he would speak with me."
