Real Madrid's Helguera leaves hospital

Real Madrid defender Ivan Helguera has left the hospital that treated him for acute gastroenteritis.

Helguera appeared at Madrid's training ground Wednesday to perform light exercises, Madrid said on its website.

Helguera, who has appeared in 29 of the team's 32 league games this season, is doubtful for Saturday's Spanish league game with Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. He missed last Sunday's league match against Levante.

Madrid is six points behind leader FC Barcelona with six games remaining.
