It had been suggested Guti might be tempted trying his hand, or foot, in Asia or the UAE but Besiktas have persuaded the Spanish international to head to the Super Lig in Turkey instead.
Guti will end a spell of over a decade wearing the Merengue shirt and will complete his switch in a matter of days.
Real Madrid are holding out for a small fee for Guti, whist the player has requested he be let go on free from his contract. These small matters should be finalised by the end of the week and Guti should finally be on his way.
