Real Madrid's Gravesen: Everton return is rubbish

Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen has rubbished reports he could rejoin Everton on-loan in the summer.

The Danish star, 28, insists he will be staying at Real Madrid after being reassured by boss Vanderlei Luxemburgo he has a vital role to play.

Everton have first option on Gravesen after selling him for £2.7million in January - and Goodison boss David Moyes wants him back on loan.

But Gravesen rapped: "It's complete rubbish. I am very happy here and I want to stay at Real."

The midfielder was booked for the seventh time in 13 games in Sunday's 4-2 win over Barcelona but Luxemburgo has no problem with the amount of yellow cards.

The Brazilian said: "I am very happy with Thomas and his disciplinary record is no worse than other players in the team."
