Real Madrid's Flavio: Middlesbrough deal almost done

Real Madrid midfielder Flavio has confirmed he is set to join Middlesbrough this season.

The Brazilian international's agent Miguel Litos held talks with Boro on Teesside this week.

"There are still one or two details to sort out," said Flavio.

"But I now have the idea of playing in England next season in my head."

Middlesbrough have agreed a one-year loan with Real for Flavio and Madrid chief Jorge Valdano confirmed: "The only thing that is lacking is the signing of the deal."
