Real Madrid's Figo threatens to quit Portugal

Real Madrid ace Luis Figo is considering international retirement with Portugal.

Figo is unhappy with the way the national team is being organized and also the tactics and selection being employed.

"The decisions must be explained by the those responsible, not by me," he said.

"How is the national selector chosen? Who is influencing him? Is he for this or that?"

"Once and for all, those people in charge must explain what they are trying to do for Portuguese football."

Next, came the bombshell for Portuguese fans: "I have my honour and if I come to lose it with the national team, then I prefer not to play at all."
