Real Madrid's Figo has swipe at ref after red card

Real Madrid winger Luis Figo was furious with his sending off in yesterday's 2-1 home defeat by Barcelona.

"The referees are making too many mistakes. We've been on the wrong side of decisions in the past few games. I don't know why it is happening, maybe they are scared of us?"

"Today's referee wasn't interested in talking to me. I asked him to watch the fouls that were being made against me. But he just ignored me. Even after I was sent-off, he wouldn't tell me why. I only asked that he whistle for what he sees, not what he wants."
