Real Madrid's Figo: Calendar needed or football dies

Real Madrid winger Luis Figo has joined the chorus of football identities urging the game's powerbrokers to organise an official international calendar.

"If they do not want to kill football, they will have to change and think about a calendar," said Figo.

"The clubs are asking for this because at the moment the demands on the world's best players are far too great."
