Real Madrid's Faubert hits out at fat jibes

Julien Faubert has hit out at fat jibes from Real Madrid fans.

On-loan from West Ham, French midfielder Faubert has been accused of carrying too much weight to play in Juande Ramos' midfield.

But he said: "It seems people say I am heavy or fatter than I should be, but I am not even 500 grams overweight."

"I am physically well, I am strong ... but I have no more weight than I should. I worked hard at West Ham, I have not missed any training or any games. I'm fine physically, even if people say I have a lot of weight."

Faubert added: "I have five months to prove myself here ... let's see what happens."
