Real Madrid's English scouts give green light to rock Manchester United and Chelsea

Real Madrid scouts have watched Everton striker Romelu Lukaku five times recently as the club prepare a summer bid, according to reports.

It is claimed Real bosses are considering a £60million swoop for Belgium international Lukaku.

The 22-year-old has already attracted attention from Manchester United and former club Chelsea this season.

The Premier League duo are both said to be considering swoops for the forward.

United were linked with a £40m move in January, while Chelsea are said to be keen on spending £50m on a player they sold for £28m just two summers ago.

And Napoli also emerged as suitors over the weekend.

But The Sun claim Real are ready to blow their transfer rivals out of the water in order to land the target.

According to the reports, scouts have been present at Everton games on 'at least five occasions' recently.

It is claimed Lukaku has been earmarked in case Real offload Karim Benzema this summer.

Benzema, 28, has enjoyed a strong season at the Bernabeu but his future remains in doubt duo to charges of alleged involvement in a blackmail case.

The forward denies being involved in an attempt to blackmail his France team-mate Mathieu Valbuena over a sex tape.

Were Benzema to leave Real, it is claimed president Florentino Perez will give the green light to buy Lukaku, with scouts reporting back that they player would be good value at £60m.
