Real Madrid's Emerson critical of Ronaldinho

Real Madrid midfielder Emerson has made disparaging comments directed at his Brazil teammate and Barcelona rival Ronaldinho.

Aware of Barca's appeal against Ronaldinho's suspension for his sending off last week, Emerson said: "Ronaldinho must pay like all players who have been dismissed."

He went on: "Ronaldinho isn't having a good time at the moment."

Asked who he regarded as the more dangerous player, Ronaldinho or his Barca teammate Leo Messi, Emerson was emphatic: "Messi."

"Clearly, Barca are a team that can win the Liga," he continued, "but it is us who are going to win it."

"We deserve it for the way we have fought back from all the problems we had at the start of the season."
