After the 6-2 demolition of Villarreal in the Santiago Bernabeu, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo believes in his team more than ever ahead of the return leg of Real Madrid's Champions League knockout stage tie against Lyon.

In statements made to Spanish sports daily Marca, the superstar issued a warning to Lyon ahead of the match on March 10 at the Santiago Bernabeu. "This is the team that is waiting for you and is going to do everything possible to beat you."

Ronaldo continued by emphasising that the team's success was more important than his own, saying: "I played well but the team was better. We are a hell of a team."
