Real Madrid's Cannavaro delighted to add Spanish title to trophy cabinet

Fabio Cannavaro was delighted to add the Spanish Liga title to the bevy of trophies and awards he's collected in the last 12 months.

The Real Madrid defender said: "Every win is different and this one was unexpected and therefore even better."

"We suffered a lot, especially over the past few months, but now we are really happy."

"The past three years have been very successful for me, I am very happy."

"I hope we can continue like this. After a World Cup it is always hard for the winners, now they just have to let us work in peace."

Real teammate Emerson was also pleased with the win, the club's first Liga title in four years, but admits that his future remains to be decided.

"We won thanks to our team spirit, we finally changed our mentality and proved that we are a real team," explained the Brazilian.

As to my future, I did not want to talk about it before the match, I didn't think it was fair. In reality I know nothing, now we will sit down and see what we need to do."
