Real Madrid's Calderon, Schuster split over Guti behaviour

Real Madrid management remain split over Guti's dismissal at Murcia on Saturday night.

While coach Bernd Schuster again stuck up for his midfielder, president Ramon Calderon described his actions as "unjustifiable".

"His behaviour was human, but unjustifiable," said Calderon. "He knows that he did not behave well, he is a leader of Real Madrid and a leader of this club must be careful."

However, Schuster said: "You should look at what led up to his dismissal. He suffered two or three violent tackles, with the referee not taking any action against the Murcia players."

"We know that Guti is always a target, especially when he is playing like he is this season. The opposition find it difficult to stop him."
