Real Madrid's Caesar welcomes Atletico Madrid interest

Real Madrid goalkeeper Caesar admits he welcomes the interest of Atletico Madrid in his transfer.

Atletico were considering Caesar for a January move, before coach Gregorio Manzano settled on bringing Sergio Aragones back from his loan at Getafe to solve the injury problems with his goalkeeping stocks.

"I do not know to what extent the rumors are true," said Caesar. "But the interest of any club is important because it gives you recognition. It's important to know that people still remember your qualities."

Caesar is a perennial reserve at Real behind No1 Iker Casillas.

He added, "I am not a controversial character. But at the moment there are not many first team chances for me here. Perhaps in January or June something will come up which I will have to think about."
