Real Madrid's Beckham: I didn't sleep after Valencia defeat

Real Madrid star David Beckham admitted yesterday he had hardly slept after the shock 2-0 defeat at Valencia on Saturday night.

"After games it always costs you sleep, but with defeats everything is complicated," said Beckham.

"I was wide-awake yesterday until 6:00am in the morning, reviewing mentally the game."

"We are disappointed and especially considering that it was an important game, but we are in the first days of the championship and there is a long time left to fix things and to play far better."
