Real Madrid's Beckham gives first Spanish interview

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham has granted his first full interview in Spanish.

In a sign that he is becoming more and more a Madridista, Becks gave his first full interview in the local language to the club's official TV channel.

The England captain also has recorded a Christmas message for Real Madrid fans.

"At this point of the season all the games are very important and the Liga is a key trophy for us," said Beckham. "If we gained the six points that there are on offer I am sure that we will be able to enjoy Christmas."

"If we do not obtain it, we will still enjoy the Christmas period, but not as much, because we will not have reduced the distance that separates us from Barcelona."
