Real Madrid's Beckham cool on Tottenham talk

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham insists he is happy in Spain and not angling for a return to England.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has confirmed their interest in the England skipper, with Spurs players Paul Robinson and Michael Brown welcoming the prospect of playing alongside the ex-Manchester United midfielder.

But Beckham said: "Speculation will always carry on because I was born and brought up in England and people expect me to go back there at some stage."

"But at the moment I am happy here - I've got two years left at Madrid and hopefully I will extend that."
