Real Madrid's Baptista: Don't blame Luxemburgo

Real Madrid midfielder Julio Baptista insists coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo shouldn't be blamed for their two defeats this week.
 
"The most important thing is to stay calm," said the Brazilian. "I am certain things will change. It's only the start of the season."

"The guilt of the defeat at Lyon is with the players, not the coach. We're the ones who played in that game. Luxemburgo needs to be left alone so he can work without outside pressures."

Baptista admitted he was at a loss to explain Real's poor defending at set-pieces: "I don't know why this is happening."

"It's not normal to concede four goals in two games from free-kicks. But we will fix it on the training ground."
