Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo is upset for teammate Jese Rodriguez over his knee injury.

Jese was stretchered off during Real's Champions League win over Schalke.

Ronaldo, who struck twice on the night, remarked: "We must give much encouragement to a major player as Jesse is."

"He did very well when he played, so his injury is bad for the team. It is a very bad story for us."
