Real Madrid, Roma on outer as Leeds to secure Milito within days

Leeds United are in advanced talks with Independiente over stylish centre-half, Gaby Milito.

The 22 year-old is also being chased by AS Roma and Real Madrid, but Leeds officials are confident a deal can be struck within the next few days.

The only stumbling block is Independiente's demand that they hold 50 per cent of Milito's sell-on rights.

Though the youngster has expressed a desire to join Roma, Independiente are only interested in a cash sale - so giving Leeds a distinct advantage over their Italian rivals.
