Real Madrid will rival Barcelona for winger Arjen Robben should Chelsea make him available in the summer.

It was reported yesterday on Dutch TV that Barca had been granted permission by Chelsea to hold talks with Robben about a move to Spain.

Meanwhile, DiarioSport says Real won't stand aside and will challenge their bitter rivals for the Dutchman's signature.

Robben was on Real president Ramon Calderon's shopping list during last summer's elections and knows he risks a supporter backlash if he allows the Dutchman to move to Barca without a fight.
