Real Madrid respond to FIFA transfer investigation

FIFA have announced they're investigating alleged irregularities in the signing of youth players by Real Madrid.

FIFA are yet to open an official disciplinary procedure.

A Fifa spokesman said: "Fifa is currently compiling information and documentation in order to adequately evaluate this matter. At the moment, a formal disciplinary procedure has not been opened. We cannot provide any further information at this stage."

Meanwhile, Real have responded with a lengthy statement, which includes questioning FIFA's professionalism towards the probe.
