AC Milan have placed Real Madrid star Isco at the top of their shortlist after they were finally given the green light to spend this summer.
After months of uncertainty at the club due to a takeover the Rossoneri have been quiet so far this transfer window, but now with the new ownership finally confirming a deal, they can start to make moves before the end of the month.
Real Madrid midfielder Isco, who has been told to find a new club as he doesn’t fit in at the Santiago Bernabeu any longer, is apparently top of Milan’s redrawn shortlist according to AS.
However, despite the new hierarchy Milan will still have to play ball with their use of the club finances.
As they spent nearly €100 million on players last season only to finish seventh in the table, the San Siro side are still keen to exercise caution before embarking on a similar outlay.
It’s understood that before they can make an official bid for Isco, Milan will now have to sell striker Carlos Bacca.
The Colombian has been regularly linked away from Serie A in recent weeks, namely to Premier League side West Ham United who reportedly would offer €30 million to land the frontman.
Isco featured 43 times for Los Blancos last season, but does not fully fit in Zinedine Zidane’s plans and was selected for the exit door.
