Real Madrid rejected Arsenal enquiry for Morientes

Real Madrid have rejected an enquiry from Arsenal for striker Fernando Morientes.

The Independent says Arsenal asked about taking Real's Spanish international striker as part of the Patrick Vieira deal, but Real president Florentino Perez rejected the idea.

Morientes returned to the Bernebeu in the summer after spending a season on loan at Monaco.
