Real Madrid reject Soldado starring at Osasuna

Osasuna striker Roberto Soldado has welcomed talk of an imminent call-up to the Spain squad.

Soldado, who joined Osasuna in the summer from Real Madrid, has struck eight goals this season and is under consideration by Spain coach Luis Aragones.

"I must dedicate myself to get goals and to win matches here, and if there is that interest it is thanks to my companions, who are helping me a lot to get those goals," said Soldado.

"The numbers are there. Doing things well here, I did imagine that some opportunity for me would arrive, but I must keep Osasuna in my mind and do my best possible. If some prize (Spain) comes, it will be received with open arms."
