Real Madrid reject Man Utd offer for Gravesen

Real Madrid have rejected a £2.5 million bid from Manchester United for midfielder Thomas Gravesen.
 
The Danish midfielder, 29, is desperate to quit Spain after starting just seven games this season.

He and his agent John Sivebaek met club chiefs before last night's 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.

But Real said they did not want to offload the midfielder just 12 months after his £2.8m arrival from Everton.

Sivebaek said: "We had a meeting with Real in the morning - and there is no way they are selling."

Fergie must now decide whether he will test Real's resolve by making an improved bid.

Gravesen was booked in the King's Cup victory over Bilbao as Real won 5-0 on aggregate. He was subbed after 74 minutes.
